It's finally here! Today is the day we find out whether we're having a boy or a girl. Overwhelmingly, the vote has been cast—by friends and family alike—that it will be a boy. My opinion varies depending on the day, and I think Joe is still holding out that we'll have twins (something about synchronized heartbeats?).
When I stop and think about it, I get increasingly excited! What we saw 13 long weeks ago,
which I continue to define as snail-like, will have tiny toes and fingers and earlobes.
So, honestly, I couldn't care less whether we have a boy or a girl. I am praying for a healthy child who grows up experiencing love to the fullest degree, developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and, if I'm lucky, laughing at all my hysterical jokes.
Joe and I feel overwhelmingly blessed to be on this journey, and to have friends and family members by our side to help us, guide us, and encourage us along the way.
